Welcome to your Level 1 Health & Safety in a Construction Environment.

 About This Course

This course is designed to give you a basic understanding of health and safety on construction sites. It’s suitable for anyone starting in the construction industry and is a key step towards getting your Green Labourer CSCS Card.

Regulated Qualification

This is a regulated qualification accredited through Laser Awards, a UK-based awarding organisation. They’re regulated by Ofqual and licensed by the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) and listed on the UK government’s official register of qualifications. This means your certificate will be nationally recognised across the UK and accepted by employers across the construction industry.

What Happens Next

You can start your training course immediately — there’s no need to wait.

Your course materials will remain available for 12 months from the date of purchase, and you can read through the content as many times as you like during that time — perfect for refreshing your knowledge or preparing for the assessments at your own pace.

Taking Your Regulated Exam

Once you have completed all course modules:

  • You must complete the exam in a quiet, private space with a stable internet connection (desktop or laptop recommended).

  • You must show valid photo ID (passport, driving licence, or provisional licence) at the start of your exam to verify your identity.

  • The exam typically takes around 60 minutes, and you cannot pause or restart once it has begun.

  • If you do not achieve a passing score, you may retake the course exam as many times as necessary at no additional cost.

Final Steps to Get Your Green Labourer CSCS Card

After passing the assessments:

Important: Both the regulated qualification and the CITB touchscreen test are required to apply for the CSCS Green Card.
